Microsoft & Apple claim back XBOX 8 and IPAD3 domains respectively.

Microsoft has settled a number of disputes over domain names owned by a Chinese resident. Few like XboxPhone.com, XboxTablet.com, XboxLiveTV.com and XboxCompanion.com, Microsoft has gained control of a couple of domains that some commentators are suggesting provides hints to its next generation console. Namely, Xbox8.us and Xbox8.org.

While, Apple secured the rights to the iPad3.com domain, just a week after filing matter with UDRP, after its original owner transferred ownership the company’s legal representatives.

Fusible reports that the iPad3.com domain is now controlled by Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton, a firm that has represented Apple in the past. Domain records changed in the past 24 hours, seemingly without a fight from the previous registrant.
